Fucked in Park Slope: Fucked in Park Slope - Embrace the Hate. - Home - Delicious On The Slope's Passive Agressiveness Lives On

we moved to across the street from this place mid July and it hasn't been open for a while, but someone's been using it to store a motorcycle and a bicycle. It's still done up on the inside like someone never asked to go to the prom but is still waiting that night for someone to ask her.

    This is uh-may-zing.

I really wanted this place to succeed if for no other reason than it'd be nice to be able to get some decent matzah ball soup in the Slope.

    Rob, you are awesome.

And it is! I keep peeking in trying to figure out what's going on.

@ bloomie -- If I'm not mistaken, the place that had the matzah ball soup, etc., was an earlier version of "Delicious on the Slope" with different owners. It was an Israeli place, and closed almost a year ago. Then this place opened under the passive-aggressive people (without changing the name or anything), with pretty standard dinerish fare. The rest is history.

As a sidenote, that stretch of President street is absolutely crawling with rats these days. Like literally every time I walk by (which is most days) I see a couple scampering around in broad daylight. Is that just me?

As someone who enjoys a few nightcaps, I will be traipsing along merrily in the evening on my way home and often times I take President from 4th ave to 5th ave, and while I'm not scared of rats, I do get startled almost every time by the random scattering of the Secret of Nimh convention that happens when I pass the trash bags in front of Cabana Bar.

It's a combination of the construction going on at 638 President St and that park on the corner. After talking to the bartenders at the Cabana Bar, they watch the rats go to and from that little park all night long. With the construction on it's way towards ending, this might cut down on the rats a little.

Thought you might like to know this image got picked up by Passive Aggressive Notes. I was so honored to see our neighborhood represented.
